Jaipur: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday accused neighbouring country (Pakistan) for weakening India's unity by spreading terrorism, but emphasized its idea would be mauled.
While addressing a thanks-giving rally in Jaipur, the state capital of Rajasthan, where Congress returned to power during Assembly elections after trouncing Bharatiya Janata party, Sonia said: "Some of our neighbouring countries want us to become weak, they do not want us to remain united. But they do not know that all Indians will fight against their plans to spread terror in our country. We will never let them succeed in their mission."
Sonia reminded public that the great leaders of the country lost their lives fighting such forces.
"Mahatma Gandhi sacrificed his life fighting against such forces. Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi too sacrificed their lives fighting against terror. Terrorism is a big challenge for us today but we together will win the war against terrorism," said the Congress Chief.
