Molestation at ISKCON: Charge denied

A US national has alleged that she was molested at the ISKCON temple complex here on Wednesday.

However, the temple authorities have denied the charge saying that the police and doctors have investigated the incident.

The American woman said that there was a knock on the door and when she opened it a strange man entered and tried molesting her. However, she has refused to be medically examined.

The 24-year-old said she raised an alarm following which a security personnel rushed into her room, but the attacker had managed to escape.

ISKON zonal secretary Bhima Das said the woman herself had denied of being molested, but complained of somebody entering her room and trying to strangulate her. "I am not sure with what purpose the stranger attacked the woman. But, the police are investigating the matter. They have taken our statements too," Bhima Das said.
