Vatakara: Flaying Sri Ram Sene and Bajrang Dal for allegedly unleashing attacks in a Mangalore pub, CPI(M) Kerala Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan today said the Sangh Parivar was out to destroy the country''s fabric to meet their political agenda.
Vijayan, leading statewide 'Nava Kerala March,' said this was evident from the assault unleashed on the daughter of Majeshwaram MLA C H Kunhabu and her friend yesterday and attack in a pub in Mangalore recently.
On the virulent campaign launched by the party rivals, he said certain elements were making a concerted effort to weaken the CPI(M).
The Opposition United Democratic Front was leading these forces from the front as they were worried about the growth of the party in the State, he alleged.
He also accused the 'imperialist' forces for continuously intervening in the affairs of the State 'as in the case of their role to topple EMS Government in 1957.' Stating the imperialist forces had intervened in West Bengal as well, he said certain recent happenings in the State were testimony to their involvement aimed at weakening the Communist Party.
Describing the reported involvement of sons of a State Minister in the Total4U cheating case as ''baseless'' he said ''you cannot blame anybody just because they are offsprings of a Cabinet member.
Asked about a probe by the government on the issue, he said ''it is not necessary.''
